Many of you probably don't even remember or weren't even members when I used to do the Frugal Tips/Recipe/and Newsletter.  I tried to do it daily but as I got busier I quit doing it.  Well, I am going to attempt do this again, occasionally.  So without further delay, here is your frugal tips/recipes/& news!

FRUGAL HINTS & TIPS

~~Save a ton of money on handwashing soap by using a foam soap dispenser.  They can be purchased at discount stores such as Walmart.  I happened to come across mine at a Pampered Chef Party.  You can also reuse foam pumps that are prefilled with hand soap.  I use anything in mine from dishwashing liquid to yummy smelling cheap shampoos.~~

~~Wonder what to do with all those toys that are in fast food happy meals for your kids?  If your kid is like mine, they get played with for a little bit then they trash up your living room when they get home to the real toys.  Save all these little meal toys in a basket or bag and use this as a travel kit.  Instead of toting along a lot of your child's good toys on a trip, pack the basket full of meal toys.  They will be all new to your child and it won't be the end of the world if one gets lost!~~

~~Save money and be creative by creating your own flavored yogurts.  Big tubs of plain yogurt are inexpensive and provide the base for any kind of yogurt you desire.  Let your imagination go wild and customize your yogurt for your needs.  Create sugar free yogurts or exotic flavors.  Some examples of things to mix into plain yogurt include: sugar free hot cocoa powder, jams, fruit pieces, coconut, & candy bar pieces.  Kids love custom made yogurts!~~

RECIPE

I got this off the back of a sugarfree hot cocoa mix box from Save A Lot.  I haven't tried it but it looks good!

EASY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
1 tsp unflavored gelatin (1/2 pkg)
1 tbsp cold water
2 tbsp boiling water
1 pkg sugarfree hot cocoa mix
2 cups whipped topping
1 tsp vanilla

Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in small bowl; stir and let stand 1 minute to soften.  Add boiling water; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.  (Mixture must be clear).  Mix in 1 package of sugarfree hot cocoa mix using a wire whip to blend.  Place whipped topping in small bowl.  Add vanilla and prepared chocolate mixture and beat until blended.  Pour into individual serving dishes or serving bowl.  Chill.

Garnish with fruit or nuts as desired.  Makes four 1/2 cup servings.  HINT:  Try other flavorings such as mint, brandy, rum, or almond.

Hugs,
Alice
