Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was fair...didn't do much of anything. My husband has hurt his back and has spent his last two days off laying around. So it's been pretty boring around here. My brother and sister in law will be up this weekend for a visit, so that will be nice. I scored my husband's prescription for free yesterday...with much prodding of the pharmacist. I got a welcome to the neighborhood package when I moved here. Inside it was a coupon from Rite Aid for $10 with a prescription. Well, it said "new prescriptions do not apply in New York State." Well, the pharmacist didn't want to give it to me at first because of that...I had to remind her that we were in WV! Then she didn't want to give it to me because it said it had to be used for merchandise in the store...but again, I pointed out to her in the small letters that it could be used towards your insurance co pay...which just happened to be $10. She made a big scene and acted like I was a bother...but I just stood there and waited for my free drugs! She eventually gave it to me...you would have thought I was taking the $10 from her personally. She said snidely, "I have never even seen a coupon like this in the newspaper!" I told her it didn't come from a newspaper but a welcome to the neighborhood package and I didn't feel real welcomed at that point. She sucked her horns in and shut up and gave me the free drugs...LOL.
Sometimes being frugal means being persistant!

TIP
First of all, I cannot express how much I love the homemade baby wipes...major savings there and I think they work better.
For everyone with babies...here is something I discovered and it works very well. Onsies extenders...they don't cost that much and can be purchased out of the One Step Ahead magazine or website... http://www.onestepahead.com/  For those of you who are unfamiliar with these, they are just strips of cloth with snaps on either side. You just snap one side on one edge of the onesie and the other end on the other side. That way you can let your baby where his/her onesies longer. Most of the time they outgrow them because they get longer and get wedgies when you try to put them on...LOL. This is a wonderful thing. Those of you who are handy with sewing could even make some easily....

RECIPE
Garlic Roasted Chicken
1 package of chicken pieces or boneless skinless chicken breasts (on sale...LOL)
1 bottle of garlic caesar salad dressing (got triple couponing)

Marinate chicken in salad dressing for 1/2 hr to 1 hr. Place in shallow baking pan and bake at 375 degrees until juices run clear. It is very very easy and good!
