1 lb ground beef
1 clove crushed garlic.
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon onion salt.
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
pinch pepper
2 eggs.
flour
2 beef stock cubes
4 cups water.
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 lb tomatoes chopped.
1 small bay leaf crushed
2 tablespoons uncooked rice.
Mix ground beef, garlic, parsley, marjoram, basil, onion salt, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper and one egg. Shape into meatballs and roll in flour.
Bring stock cubes, water, tomatoes, tomato paste, 1 teaspoon salt and bay leaf to a boil in a large pot.
Add meatballs and rice. Cover and simmer for 45 mins. Just before serving, stir in remaining beaten egg.
