Never Fail Butterhorn Rolls

1 package yeast (2 tbsp)
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup warm water
Mix and let stand 10 minutes. Scald 1 cup of milk and add:
1/2 cup margarine,
Cool and add yeast mixture. Stir well and add 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp salt, 3 beaten eggs.

Mix well, then add 5 cups flour. Stir well for 2 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover dough and set in a warm place (I put mine in the microwave) to rise until double in bulk. Roll dough (1/3 at a time) 1/2 inch thick into a pie shape, cut in 12 wedges and roll into crescents or shape it into a braid and let rise. Bake at 375F for 10 - 12 minutes until nicely browned. Also good for doughnuts and cinnamon rolls.

This is the recipe I use. Have made all sorts of buns from it. One in particular I like is to make a ball and put a spoonful of jam in the middle and seal it. Makes a yummy bun!!!

For cinnamon buns I just roll out the dough to 1/2 inch then spread with lots of butter, brown sugar and cinnamon, roll up and cut.
